Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton is launching a new concept Neat Burger, the "first plant-based sustainable burger chain" of its kind is set to open on September 2 in London.

"Today we announce the launch of Neat Burger, a plant-based restaurant chain with a commitment to ethical practices and being kinder to our world. Hamilton, 34, who gave up meat about two years ago, said the first restaurant in London just off Regent Street, would be selling plant-based burgers called “Neat,” “Cheese” and “Chick’n” among other items.“I think it will be a game-changer,” the five-times world champion told journalists, adding he was passionate about being kinder to the world.

Hamilton is collaborating with hospitality organisation The Cream Group and investors including UNICEF Ambassador and early backer of Beyond Meat, Tommaso Chiabra, as reported on PR Newswire. The team has an ambitious target of expanding the concept globally with 14 franchises planned over the next 24 months.

Neat Burger will serve patties, created by their team of chefs in collaboration with Beyond Meat. The basic menu will consist of three, core burgers - 'The Neat', 'The Cheese' and 'The Chick'n', as well as 'The Hot Dog', with sides including skinny fries, sweet potato fries and tater tots.

Ryan Bishti of The Cream Group stated that, "Neat Burger aims to change the way we view our eating habits. We're not preaching or shaming people for eating meat. We're offering an alternative that tastes as good as, if not better than meat."
