Unfortunately, eating a certain food or taking a supplement is not a magic bullet for weight loss. Turns out, there is no “easy” way to boost your metabolism.

Your resting metabolism accounts for the majority of calories your body expends each day (60 per cent to 80 per cent). The remainder of your total daily energy expenditure comes from physical activity (10 per cent to 30 per cent) and digesting food (10 per cent).
